Oluwatosin Reis

Advisory Board Member — Global Privacy & Data Governance

Oluwatosin Reis is a dual-qualified lawyer in Nigeria and Ontario and an experienced international privacy professional. She brings legal, regulatory and operational insight into the development and management of privacy programmes across multiple jurisdictions.

In her current role, Oluwatosin manages privacy matters across Canada, India, the United States and Denmark. This responsibility gives her direct experience of coordinating privacy requirements across countries with different legal frameworks, regulatory expectations and business practices.

Her work includes advising on data-protection obligations, supporting privacy governance, assessing risks associated with personal-data processing and helping business teams incorporate privacy requirements into day-to-day operations. She understands the practical challenges of developing consistent organisational standards while responding appropriately to local legal requirements.

Oluwatosin’s international experience is particularly relevant to organisations that operate across borders, use global technology providers or allow personal data to be accessed and processed from multiple locations. Her perspective helps Amstel Consulting consider the legal, operational and governance implications of international data flows, vendor relationships and multinational business systems.

She also brings valuable experience in privacy-awareness and training. By translating technical legal requirements into clear guidance for employees and stakeholders, she supports the development of a privacy-conscious organisational culture in which responsibilities are understood beyond the legal or compliance function.

As a member of the Advisory Board, Oluwatosin advises Amstel Consulting on global privacy developments, cross-border compliance and the design of privacy-governance services for internationally active organisations. Her contribution helps the firm develop recommendations that are legally informed, operationally realistic and adaptable across different jurisdictions.

For clients, her Advisory Board membership strengthens Amstel Consulting’s ability to address complex international privacy questions and connect Nigerian and African data-protection requirements with wider global expectations. It also supports clients seeking to expand internationally, engage overseas service providers or establish consistent privacy standards across several countries.

Oluwatosin is also involved in privacy research and professional discourse. Her published work has examined global privacy legislation, regulatory enforcement and the implications of emerging technologies for data protection and individual rights.
