Oluwabukola C. Olasehinde

Cybersecurity & VAPT Consultant

Oluwabukola C. Olasehinde is a cybersecurity professional specialising in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and web-application security. She has practical experience identifying security weaknesses, simulating real-world attack techniques and helping organisations implement appropriate remediation measures.

In her current professional role, Oluwabukola conducts penetration testing on external web applications for clients operating in sectors including financial technology and education. Her work involves planning security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating their severity and performing follow-up testing after remediation.

Her testing experience covers web applications, APIs and supporting technology infrastructure. She applies structured, OWASP-aligned methodologies across black-box penetration tests and vulnerability assessments, examining areas such as authentication, access control, session management, file handling, application configuration and API security.

Oluwabukola has conducted security assessments across more than 20 external web applications. Her experience includes identifying vulnerabilities ranging from critical to lower-severity findings and working with technical teams to understand the affected systems and prioritise corrective action.

An important part of her work is translating technical findings into reports that can be used by both engineers and non-technical decision-makers. She prepares reports containing supporting evidence, risk ratings, business-impact explanations and practical remediation guidance. She also performs revalidation testing to determine whether reported vulnerabilities have been effectively addressed.

At Amstel Consulting, Oluwabukola supports Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing engagements and contributes technical insight to data-protection, cybersecurity and technology-risk assignments. Her work helps clients understand whether the security measures protecting personal and commercially sensitive information operate effectively in practice.

Her contribution is particularly valuable for organisations operating public-facing websites, customer portals, mobile-application backends, APIs and other internet-accessible systems. By identifying exploitable weaknesses before they are abused, she helps clients reduce security exposure and make informed decisions about remediation priorities.

Oluwabukola also has experience with security and compliance frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation and the General Data Protection Regulation. This enables her to consider how technical findings relate to wider information-security, privacy and organisational-risk requirements.

Beyond technical testing, she has delivered practical cybersecurity training for junior analysts. Her ability to explain technical concepts clearly supports Amstel Consulting’s security-awareness, professional-development and client-education activities.
